Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which released 6 years ago for the Nintendo Switch and stems from the near decade old Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U is still going strong with updates and additions. The new tracks are apart of six waves in total, with two more still to be added in future release. Including the new tracks, players have noted that the new update teases five mystery racers. Of course it raises endless speculation to who might be added. Whether it’ll be from the Mario franchise or somewhere else, time will merely tell. There is always the possibility of any new announcements to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Mario Day.
The Booster Course DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched last year in March, with each successive update brining new tracks for players to enjoy. Birdo has been the first addition currently to the Booster Course DLC since its release and came as a surprise to the DLC.
Many of the previous DLC tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have been remasters of courses from older Mario Kart games. Wave 1 saw the addition of the Golden Dash and Lucky Cat Cup, Wave 2 included the Turnip and Propeller Cup, and Wave 3 added Rock and Moon Cup.
