Man of Medan Gets Release Date Trailer Showing the Repercussions of Your Choices

Since August of last year, Supermassive Games has been working on their new Dark Pictures Anthology series that allow them to explore different sub-genres of horror. And since then, fans have experienced the first part of that anthology series, being Man of Medan. Much like their previous game Until Dawn, Man of Medan bases it’s gameplay entirely around how much of the players choice matters. And how the consequences might play out. This was highlighted in the last trailer they had dropped for the game back on Halloween night. However, the new trailer goes into the effects of the repercussions of those choices, through some neat visual storytelling and well placed sounds:

The trailer doesn’t say who the choices are for, or who they’re going to. So there is still a lot of mystery surrounding the entire choice system and keeping intact of how much will be a surprise. It shows off parts of the old ship that these characters get themselves onto; both before and after whatever madness took it over to make it the way it is.

With this trailer comes a couple new announcements as well for Man of Medan. The first being that the game is officially up for pre-order currently! With pre-ordering the game players will be gifted a “Director’s Cut” of the game. This feature allows players, after they’ve defeated the game the first time, to go back and replay through scenes from a different character’s perspective. This allows for more in-depth story telling and learning more about these characters and their motivations. While this feature will be free for everybody, those who pre-order will have this feature available to them on the release date.

Speaking of release dates, there is one! Man of Medan is set to come out on August 30, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Pre-orders are currently live for both consoles and PC which grants the “Director’s Cut” of the game. To learn more about the pre-order, check out the pre-order page here. It’s only a matter of time before the repercussions and consequences of the choices made on this ship are shown.
