Madden 18: Story Mode & First Look On Project Scorpio

Earlier today EA kicked off the start of the biggest week in gaming with their very own press event EA play. There was an outpour of news and developments that were revealed during the event and few announcements that teased more information in other conferences in the coming days. One reveal that particularly stood out for EA was a closer look at Madden 18. The first look came from Patrick Soderlund, EA’s global studio chief who showed off a few screenshots of the game running on Project Scorpio.

“These Madden NFL visuals are just a taste of what can be accomplished combining Frostbite with Project Scorpio,” He also added that Frostbite, EA’s new game engine is also working on creating more detailed and immersive projects for the Scorpio. “We are already creating the most detailed high-resolution environments you could see on a console.”

The publisher also released a brand new trailer which introduced a story mode for the game called “The Longshot” which follows the story of a young football player and his journey to the pros. The trailer also shows glimpses of a couple of college teams which may mean that players will get to play through college on their way to the NFL in this year’s Madden.

The game mode will also feature a character voiced by Mahershala Ali, an actor from the Oscar award winning show House of Cards. Madden 18 will feature Tom Brady on the cover and will release in August for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
