Calling all gamers, Loot Crate is coming for you. The popular geek-oriented subscription service is moving towards the gaming realm by introducing a new package called Loot Gaming.
In an interview with Polygon, the co-founder of Loot Gaming, Matthew Arevalo said that:
We’ve always been targeting both geeks and gamers in kind of a general kind of pop culture box. This opens up a focus for us where it’s not as much of a mix of geek and gaming.
The usual Loot Crate box usually includes gaming items, but new Loot Gaming box will include nothing but gaming related merchandise. It will include collectibles, apparel, accessories and more from some of the most popular video game universes.
The new subscription service will deliver a box containing four to six premium items for $25. When asked about the new price, Arevalo simply explained:
…charging $25 instead of $20 will allow Loot Gaming to deliver items that are just on another level…
This is slightly more expensive than the regular Loot Crate box, but will also include a booklet in the style of a gaming manual and a Loot Gaming pin.
Set to start in the spring, the first box will be a “legacy” theme which will feature items from Halo, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and Street Fighter. Each item that will be released will be 100 percent exclusive to Loot Gaming.
For those interested in the service you can sign up today. You will be notified when the service goes live and it is imperative that you act fast as, according to Arevalo, quantities of the first month’s box will be limited.
