Limited Run Games Reveals Special Physical Editions Of DOOM + DOOM II; Games Playable On Box & Custom Handheld Caceodemon

Limited Run Games, one of the premium publishers of physical games, has announced a partnership with Bethesda Softworks that brings physical editions of DOOM + DOOM II to players and collectors. Pre-orders are set to go live on April 18 and will run until May 18.

The Standard Edition ($29.99) includes DOOM + DOOM II, the original expansion packs, the new episode Legacy of Rust, and fan favorite episodes SIGIL and SIGIL II, which are receiving a physical release alongside DOOM for the first time.

The Big Box Edition ($99.99) adds a cassette tape soundtrack set and collectible DOOM + DOOM II monster booster cards, encased in a box featuring the iconic DOOM + DOOM II cover art.

The Will It Run Edition ($666.00) includes a floating cacodemon statue, a custom handheld cacodemon that will play DOOM, all encased in a box that also plays DOOM. The only thing that needs to be done is connecting a controller into the box’s USB port.

Limited Run Games has also announced a partnership with CRKD, the premium collectible gaming brand, and is launching the CRKD NEO S RED KEY CARD Edition controller that features a hellish red motif inspired by the Union Aerospace Corporation.

There will be additional DOOM + DOOM II monster booster card packs that will be sold separately from the Big Box and Will It Run Editions. Each pack contains a random selection of five trading cards, with fifteen available in total, each featuring a different DOOM monster. There’s even a chance to find a rare, signed Cacodemon rookie card.
