Life Is Strange Remastered Collection’s Graphical Updates Showcased In New Clips

Life is Strange Remastered Collection was announced when the latest game in the series, Life is Strange: True Colors was revealed. The Collection contains the first two games in the series, Life is Strange and the prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Recently, Square Enix revealed the first look at the games which feature updated character models, improved motion capture, and more.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection renders the games in native 4K in Unreal 4, with a rebuilt lighting system. The new and updated 4K-ready character models have increased polycounts meaning they are more detailed than before as well as additional bones which are visible throughout the games. All of the character models will feature more emotive and expressive animation, more natural hair physics, updated tears, injuries, and more. More specifically, you can see that Max’s tears and expressions are more detailed with updated facial SFX. In addition, Nathan and Chole’s facial expressions and eyelines have been revamped too. All characters will gave new lip-sync animations. There are also new and updated scenic materials for reflectivity and texture as well as updated models and materials for key props such as the bucket in the bathroom.

Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will be available next week on February 1, 2022 for Google Stadia, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Geforce Now, and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released later. The Collection is available to pre-order and will be available to those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors.
