Bandai Namco unveiled another legacy fighter for TEKKEN 8. Leo Kliesen, German-born fighter, is returning to the fight. Many TEKKEN fans had already suspected that Leo was a part of the cast due to a recent roster leak in. That said, many have wondered what the Seeker of Truth might look like in the franchise’s latest game, and its latest trailer does not disappoint.
The new gameplay trailer gives TEKKEN 8 fans a brief glimpse on Leo’s new design and their ionic Baji Quan fighting style.
First introduced in TEKKEN 6, Leo set apart the rest of the cast with their Baji Quan fighting style, a Chinese technique that uses explosive and forceful, powerful punches and kicks.
Additionally, Leo dominated fan discussion through speculation over their unknown gender. And while there has been some back and forth since their debut, Leo’s gender remains just as ambiguous to this day.
With Leo’s gameplay reveal there are still a few more characters to get through till the game’s official release in January. We’ve already seen Reina, Victor, and Panda, Zafina, Lee Chaolan, Alisa, and Devil Jin. Luckily, in its recent press release, Bandai Namco confirmed that all 32 fighters will have their own trailer to show off their new features.
For future updates, head over to the game’s official social media and website. TEKKEN 8 releases globally on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
