According to leakers, five new Animal Crossing Lego sets will be coming in 2024. This news comes from reliable Lego leaking sources online. although the lego sets have yet to be confirmed by either Nintendo or Lego, the leaked sources have been very reliable in the past as they have speculated on a Mario themed Lego crossover in the past which ended up being released.
Lego and Nintendo have been working together for a while now. Together they released the first official Lego Mario set back in 2020. This project included a giant electronic Mario figure, a giant bowser figure, a Lego-built NES, and even a buildable question mark block from the Mario series. Because Nintendo has so many franchises that are well suited for a Lego crossover, it is surprising that they would choose Animal Crossing over other titles.
Earlier this week, a handful of credible Lego leakers took to social media (Instagram, Twitter and Youtube) to suggest that Nintendo and Lego were in cahoots to to work on five new Animal Crossing Lego pieces that would release in March 2024. Exabrickslegogo was one of the first leakers to report on the possible crossover after Animal Crossing’s ID appeared on Brickmerge, a site that scrapes Lego’s backend looking for any new sets. As such, Exabrickslegogo claimed that Animal Crossing’s ID was in fact on that site.
In the past, these Lego leaking accounts leaked information before they were officially revealed or released. Other similar leaking accounts have also backed up the news that an Animal Crossing Lego crossover is indeed in development. Apparently, the Lego crossover will contain minifigs of various Animal Crossing characters with new molded heads so they will look similar to the characters in the game.
According to the leakers, the five new sets planned for release (their rumored piece count and price) are:
- Set 77046 – $14.99 (170 pieces
- Set 77047 – $19.99 (164 pieces
- Set 77048 – $29.99 (233 pieces
- Set 77049 – $39.99 (389 pieces
- Set 77050 – $74.99 (535 pieces)
Because the sets have yet to be officially confirmed, and because changes could occur in the future, it is best to not get too excited about the prospect of a Lego and Animal Crossing crossover. Only time will tell whether or not fans will be able to purchase these rumored Lego sets.
