Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Delayed, No Longer Has a Launch Window

Another day, another major title being pushed back. This time it’s TT Games Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which will no longer be launching this Spring and no longer has an official release window. The developer announced the delay in a tweet stating that they “won’t be able to make our intended Spring release date.” They did state that they would provide an updated launch time as soon as they’re able to, but for the time being, the game does not have a specific release time frame.

For those who don’t know, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is comprised of nine Lego Star Wars titles, all of which are adaptations of their movie counterparts. The titles are made with tongue-in-cheek humor, as the players are able to literally mess around with the entire environment and change it out with multiple types of Legos, as well as characters. In this entry, players will be able to use up to 500 different Star Wars characters. Players will also be able to start at any point in the entire franchise, along with an expanded mission count for longer playtime.

The title was originally announced during E3 2019. There was an initial post for a 2020 release time frame, but that was quickly removed before the developer gave it Spring release for 2021. This will be the first real Lego Star Wars game since 2017’s Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it will also be the first one to fully adapt episodes eight and nine into the Lego universe. Hopefully, the developer will have a new release date ready in the near future, or at least a launch time frame.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
