Lead BioWare Devs Step Away From Anthem To Focus On Dragon Age 4

Anthem, Bioware’s most recent project has had its share of issues from its development period all the way up to its launch earlier this year. The game has had problems ranging from server issues to crashing consoles entirely. Despite EA and BioWare putting forth great efforts to fix the bugs and bring the game up to players expectations there still seems to have been a decrease in players dedicated to the game.

With all of these events transpiring another recent development is rubbing fans and players the wrong way. Reportedly, three lead developers on Anthem’s have officially stopped doing work on the game. These three members are Executive Producer Mark Darrah, Lead Producer Michael Gamble, and Lead Director Jonathan Warner. As for the reason why these developers were being moved off from the game it said that their new focus will be on developing the upcoming sequel Dragon Age 4.

This shift in focus of developers is something that happens quite often within the Gaming industry in which lead developers are moved from one big title after its release to another. But in this case this specific situation leads some fans to believe that BioWare has given up its plans to support Anthem and also continue to revitalize the game it’s ambitious amount of post launch content.

As of now lead producer Ben Irving and Head of Live Service Chad Robertson are now spear heading the game. Robertson took to Twitter to respond to some of the backlash from the news of the switch in leadership. From his statement, it seems BioWare is still fully committed to Anthem and it’s plans to continue support, improve, and add new content to the game.
