Latest Street Fighter 6 Teaser Trailer Shows off Mai Shiranui

Street Fighter 6 is continuing to churn out the content. After a minor (in actuality, pretty major from a balance standpoint) patch a few days ago Capcom deemed it necessary to drop another preview video for their next new character on a random Thursday. Today the World Tour teaser for Mai Shiranui, the next DLC character for Street Fighter 6, dropped.

As you can tell, Mai’s stage is gorgeous, and Mai herself isn’t exactly anything to scoff at. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Capcom spent a few extra days touching up her model after hearing the criticisms of Terry’s face being a bit uncanny. Keep in mind that these are the World Tour cutscenes, and that Mai’s model within the actual game might look even better.

As with Terry, Mai is a guest character, the second to come from the Fatal Fury franchise and a cool way to cross promote the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves in which Mai and Terry are also both on the roster (with Chun Li and Ken from Street Fighter guest starring in that game as an equivalent exchange).

Mai will be arriving in early 2025, with the schedule for DLC characters so far she might arrive sometime in February or perhaps a little later than that. With the 2025 Capcom Cup happening in March, and with Mai almost definitely bringing another balance patch alongside her, expect Mai to drop sometime after March 5th, 2025 as to not mess with the competitive scene of the Capcom Cup too much.

With Mai nearing her release, the final 2nd Season DLC character, Elena, is likewise gearing up to be released next year, and with them they’ll bring the third season of DLC for Street Fighter 6. It’s hard to believe so much time has flown by since the release of 6, but time flies!
