New footage for the upcoming game Death Stranding 2 was released late Saturday evening for The Tokyo Game Show 2024. For separate clips showcasing unique game features and cutscenes variations were uploaded on the official Hideo Kojima Productions x/Twitter account.

These videos were apart of the live event “DEATH STRANDING 2” Special Stage! Which featured appearances by seven  notable figures apart of the games development including Hideo Kojima himself. The event was streamed live on YouTube. In the five separate videos revealed, one debut a new character to the game, Rainy, played by Shioli Kutsuna.

In addition to the footage, the event revealed a multitude of other fun things fans can joy in celebration of the franchise. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach collaborated with the clothing brand ACRONYM on a limited-time jacket. The jacket uses a variation on the designs on the jackets the characters wear. Fans can check it out on ACRONYM’s website.

The other major announcement centers around the celebration of the original Death Stranding’s 5th anniversary. Kojima Productions intends to celebrate the event via a pop up exhibition. The event will have three locations, first in Tokyo on November 8th, then in Nagoya in January 2024, and lastly in Osaka in February 2025.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to release sometime in 2925 on the PlayStation 5.
