Kojima Productions is Coming Out With a $2,000 Statue

Hideo Kojima’s new studio mascot will be getting its very own 1/2 scale statue for a select few to be able to purchase. Kojima Productions and Prime 1 Studios have decided to release the statue of mascot Ludens, who can be seen in their preview video below, wearing what appears to be a EVA suit while holding onto a flag that has the Kojima Productions logo across it.

The price of this statue however may be more than you’d think. To get your hands on the 1/2 scale statue, you’ll have to fork over $2,000 in order to call it your own. If you do happen to have the money to spend then you may want to be mindful of the limited availability of the statue. According to the website where the product can be purchased, there will only be 150 statues being made.

Prime 1 Studio & Kojima Productions are proud to present Ludens half-scale statue from Kojima Productions. Ludens, sometimes dubbed Ludence, is the Kojima Productions company icon and mascot. He wears an ‘extra-vehicular activity (EVA) creative suit’, and often carries a flag bearing the Kojima Productions logo which is based off Ludens himself.

The website does however offer a payment plan to help stretch out the lump sum into a manageable amount each month. If you choose to pre order you’ll have to dish out $200 on the spot, and then beginning June 5th, 2017 you’ll begin monthly payments of $225 until the statue will be shipped out sometime; between January and March of 2018.  The statue will be 63 inches tall and have LED’s in the helmet. It will also be signed by Hideo Kojima himself.

If you read all that and think to yourself  “yeah I’ll order seven of them” then you’ll be out of luck. They don’t want anyone to spend a $14,000 so they said they would like to limit it to one statue per person. If you wish to pre order one for yourself then you can head over to Sideshow Collectables now.
