Kingdom Hearts Leak Shows PS3/PS4 Release Plans

Yesterday it was leaked that Kingdom Hearts 2.9 was in the works and that it would aim for a release on both the Playstation 3 and the Playstation 4.

KH13 reports that the leak occurred on the LinkedIn page for a Square Enix game designer. Although it is currently only speculation, if this proves to be true then it would confirm information about Kingdom Hearts III, claiming that there is involvement by Pixar in the development of the much anticipated sequel. It also created speculation about a Gummi Ship system and possible multiplayer for the upcoming sequel.

The developer behind the LinkedIn page had reportedly been working on the game for about 10 months. They were said to have been overseeing the game idea planning, boss planning and other activities.

The news of this leak follows another leak from E3 earlier this year. Apparently Square Enix Kingdom Hearts 2.9 on their schedule for presentation, but it was removed before too much fanfare could be raised about the title.

While this is all currently speculation it does lead one to question what Kingdom Hearts 2.9 could be? There were some ideas that this game could be a re-release of both Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5, however comments made by Tetsuya Nomura in an interview back at E3 do not seem to indicate that this is a plan for Square Enix.

As far as the fate of the alleged Kingdom Hearts 2.9 only time will tell what will become of this mysterious title.
