Last month, Shin Megami Tensei Persona fans got the news that the soundtracks for Persona 3 and Persona 4 and as well as other spin-off games would be released on music streaming services. And now RPG fans of the Kingdom Hearts series have reason to celebrate as well. This video game music breaking news came from The Ongaku. While the soundtracks for Kingdom Hearts 3, 2.8, and Unchained X have been available to stream for quite some time now, there were still a few games missing from the music library. The music from Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 which includes the side games Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days was not available to stream until now.
Square Enix has released the soundtracks to both Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and Kingdom Hearts 2.5 on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 will have a total of 84 songs with a combined time of 2 hours and 56 minutes to listen to and will feature songs from Kingdom Hearts 2 and 358/2 Days. The second album will feature music from Kingdom hearts 2.5 which will feature songs from Kingdom Hearts II and Birth by Sleep totaling 103 songs for a combined time of 4 hours and 23 minutes of streaming time. Starting now, fans of the series will be able to stream the soundtrack from their devices and can listen to their favorite character, world, boss battle and title theme music.
Yoko Shimomura is the main composer of the series. She has returned each game to compose the score for each installment of the series. Shimomura has taken the existing music from the classic Disney and Pixar movies as well as Final Fantasy and created the rest of the world of Kingdom Hearts. Gamers can now enjoy their favorite tracks from this said world. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and available as cloud gaming for the Nintendo Switch.
