Killing Floor III has been announced during the Gamescom Opening Night Live. In a reveal trailer, the co-op horror FPS from Tripwire Interactive will return with more waves of monsters to gruesomely kill.
The announcement trailer primarily cinematic footage, did not reveal any gameplay yet. A press release for the Killing Floor III provided more information, where up to 5 total players can teamup together and take on the hordes of zombies known as Zeds throughout various various rural and urban maps. Players will be able to unlock new skills and abilities, along with an expanding arsenal of powerful weapons.
“The year is 2091, 70 years after the events in Killing Floor 2, and megacorp Horzine has produced the ultimate army: an obedient horde of bio-engineered monstrosities called Zeds. Now, the only thing standing between these infernal creations and the future of humanity is the rebel rogue group known as Nightfall. This intense first-person shooter puts players in the role of a Nightfall specialist, joining forces with up to five teammates as they battle through a war-ravaged, dystopian future, surviving unrelenting waves of Zeds, unlocking new skills, and building the ultimate arsenal.”
The previous installment, Killing Floor II release back in 2016, which Tripwire Interactive notes over 28 million players teamed up to survive and take on hordes of Zeds, across both PC and console.
Killing Floor III has no release date yet, but it will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
