Katamari Damacy Creator Keita Takahashi To Release New Game To A T On May 28 For PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, And PC

Publisher Annapurna Interactive, developer uvula and creative lead Keita Takahashi responsible for the Katamari Damacy series comes an announcement that the 3D narrative driven  adventure game  ‘to a T‘ will launch on May 28. The game is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S,  and PC. Gematsu shares that the game will also be available on Gamepass but that an Xbox One version is no longer in the works.

To to T takes place in small coastal town. You assume the role a teenager with an extraordinary posture, in the shape of a t; Accompanied by his pet dog and mother you’ll  attend school and explore the town.

NPR interviewed Keita Takahashi, Creator of to a T and pointed out how many artist may have had a difficult time creating their art, joking about the t-pose in the game Takahashi replied “It’s interesting right how the character is doing the t-pose, how can it be so special? I remember pitching this idea to the publisher , it seems like they liked the idea,  they just thought of hitting each other with this t-pose. I saw that moment and thought this game would be very fun and nice. Just a t-pose in the twenty-first century  on the next generation PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. I feel so lucky that I’ve got such a simple idea.”

To a T features an episodic format in storytelling over multiple days.  You’ll control the teen’s various functions through mini-games, from eating to playing with your pet. The game features collectibles within the town, shops and free mode to engage with other characters. You can customize your teens’ appearance through clothes purchased at shops.

To a T is an exciting project born from a spirit of Keita Takahashi’s good intent. Whether this intent will carry the project the same way it carried Katamari Damacy remains to be seen, we’ll find out soon enough.
