Katamari creator Keita Takahashi has revealed his next new game during the Annapurna Interactive Showcase. to a T developed by Takahashi and the uvula team formed by Takahashi himself, describe to a T as a 3D adventure, with episodic story which takes place over the course of multiple days.
The main character who’s simply named Teen, is perpetually stuck in a T pose— a default animation posed used during animation development software. Teen will encounter various scenarios which act as puzzles to navigate through each day while stuck in the T pose. There’s also an open world town where players can have Teen explore, visit shops, and talk with townsfolk. Teen can also be customized with various styles and outfits.
One of the cuter highlights of the trailer was Teen’s dog, which doesn’t have a specific name from the trailer, but will seemingly follow Teen everywhere they go. From getting ready in the morning, to learning at their desk in school, and exploring the town, Teen’s dog will be there.
Keita Takahashi has long been known for quirky and humorous joy-filled titles. Best known for the breakout PlayStation 2 hit Katamari Damacy that spawned an iconic franchise where players roll up everything in sight. Most recently Takahashi released Wattam in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Katamari has also received two remasters in recent years, with We Love Katamari+ Royal Reverie and Katamari Damacy REROLL.
Currently there’s no set release date for to a T, it’s confirmed to be coming to Xbox and PC. Currently users can wishlist to a T on Steam.
