Kamar de los Reyes Voice Actor Of Raul Menendez In The Call Of Duty Franchise Passes Away At 56

The gaming community has lost another talented and gifted voice actor. Kamar de los Reyes the voice actor of Raul Menendez in the game franchise Call of Duty passed away at the age of 56. Kamar de los Reyes passed away on Sunday, December 24th” after brief battle with cancer” according to a spokesperson for the family.

Kamar was born on Nov 8th, 1967 in Puerto Rico and was raised in Las Vegas. In the 198os Kamar went to Los Angeles to start a career as an entertainer. Kamar de los Reyes first took on the role of Raul Menendez in the Call Of Duty franchise in the 2012 game Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. In an interview he did on his role as Raul Menendez in Call Of Duty: Black Ops II which you can watch in the video below, Kamar had this to say:

I love being a villain. I mean Kamar is a pretty nice guy you know, yeah he’s a pretty nice guy so I get a chance to kind of step out of that and be this villain you know, and that’s a lot of fun. But believe me, believe me that I am at every ounce of me, that every hair on my body is Raul Menendez. I live and breathe this man, I’ve invested a lot into this man and I hope that the players will enjoy the ride.


He may have voiced Raul Menendez in  Call Of Duty: Black Ops II, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4, Call Of Duty: Vanguard, and Call Of Duty: Warzone but Kamar de los Reyes’s work goes beyond the gaming community. Kamar de los Reyes is known for his work on the Soap Opera One Life To Live as Llanview detective Antonio Vega. He Played Antonio Vega from 1995 to 2009.  Kamar has also made appearances on shows like The Rookie, Sleepy Hollow, Castle, Seal Team, and he has done work on the CW show All-American playing the role of Coach Montes which “he was filming at the time of his death” according to Deadline.

Kamar is survived by his family,  his wife actress Sherri Saum who posted a tribute to him on her Instagram page with the caption “Of The Kings“,  his sons Caylen (26 years old), twins John and Michael (9 years old), his brothers Daniel, Walfredo Jr, his sisters Lily and Ilde and his parents Matilde and Walfredo Sr.
