For those of you that looked at Jurassic World and thought about all the ways you could have done a better job running the park, your time has come.
We started our coverage of Jurassic World Evolution when it was announced last year, but updates have been few and far between from developer Frontier Developments, the studio that brought you the RollerCoaster Tycoon series. This simulation game allows players to build and take control of the operations behind Jurassic World, from building enclosures for the dinosaurs to creating monorails and rides for the eager crowds of tourists.
There has been a lot of excitement surrounding this game as it approaches, especially on the heels of their announcement last week that Jeff Goldblum’s iconic Dr. Ian Malcolm will be featured heavily in the game, voiced by the man himself. Here is the announcement video:
He will apparently be guiding players through the game as they venture to build a park where humans and dinosaurs can coexist without anyone getting eaten. Given how people generally treat their sims, I’m guessing it won’t go all that well for the tourists.
If all of this has piqued your interest and you are wondering when you will be able to get your hands on this title, look no further. Jurassic World Evolution will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 12. We almost could have predicted this release date, given that it is perfectly timed with Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom’s expected June 22 arrival.
To tide you over until June, we have one more pre-order trailer to show you, with some lovely in game footage:
