Now that Jump Force is out and many have had a chance to play it, a variety of issues have been brought up by players. Luckily, Bandai Namco was quick to announce this morning that fixes are on the way. While many of them are just quality of life fixes, it’s nice to see that Bandai Namco is listening to their fans and fixing the problems quickly. It is odd though that something as essential like cutscene skips wouldn’t be included with the game at launch, as it seems like most games that have released in recent history has come with that feature.
Many players have been complaining about absurd load times, making this patch a blessing for those who had been struggling to get right into battle with their favorite characters in the massive roster for the game. Another interesting thing to note for fans is that data miners have found out that more characters are potentially coming to the game soon; hopefully all the bugs are padded out by the time they release if they actually are coming. Bug and stability fixes are always nice, especially for games like Jump Force. No one wants to end up launching a special attack that somehow clips them out of bounds.
It is interesting to note that the follow up tweet to the one Bandai posted mentions that “this will not be the only patch for the game”. Only time is going to tell what the upcoming patches will improve. Hopefully the ability to rematch players will be patched in, it seems like more of no-brainer than cutscene skips for a fighting game and yet the Jump Force lacks a rematch function. Another highly requested fix is one for the absolutely terrible animations that the game currently has. It feels like a good amount of these seem like obvious fixes, so hopefully Bandai will learn from this and make sure their games come with all essential features at launch.
