Jackbox Party Pack 5 Now Available

Jackbox Games is back at it again with another installment in the Party Pack series. The Jackbox Party Pack 5 released today and brings along four brand new games and one classic rehaul. This year’s annual release contains the latest iteration of the fan-favorite You Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream, as well as new games, Split the Room, Mad Verse City, Patently Stupid, and Zeeple Dome. The Jackbox Party Pack is well known for crazy, silly games accessible with one copy of the game and up to eight players and their smartphones. Check out the trailer here:

You Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream has been updated to better facilitate streaming features as well as an audience of up to 10,000 players. You Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream is a trivia game for 1-8 players, where contestants answer kooky multiple choice questions, gaining money for each correct answer (and losing money for incorrect ones). This will be You Don’t Know Jack’s first appearance in a Party Pack since the 2014 original.

Split the Room is a polling game for 3-8 players, recalling the fill-in-the-blank elements as seen in Fibbage. Players are presented with a hypothetical situation in which they fill in the blank of the key premise. Each prompt is then shown to the players and they vote on either side of the issue. The prompt-maker scores more points the closer they can “Split the Room” evenly.

Mad Verse City, for 3-8 players, has it all: giant robots, oversized microphones, and the need to be the best MC on the block. Players are presented with partially completed rap verses and their rap battle nemesis, with the goal to out-rap your opponent (as decided by the other players.) Will you rise to the top of the rap game, or get booed off the stage?

Dust off your thinking cap and break out the sketchbook, Patently Stupid is here to solve the world’s most mundane problems. In this inventors’ dream game, 3-8 players describe everyday problems that need solving and then attempt to invent the means to solve them by drawing up some blueprints. This drawing game tests both your creative ingenuity as well as artistic talent.

The final game, Zeeple Dome, strays from the traditional game formula quite a bit. Up to six players use their devices to launch their player-character around an arena filled will alien baddies. The game uses slingshot physics and what feel like trampoline walls to create one of the most varied Party Pack games to date.

The Jackbox Party Pack 5 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Steam, and Xfinity X1.
