Jackbox Party Pack 12 Announced With Five New Mini Games Releasing in the Fall

Jackbox Games, the studio behind the popular party game Jackbox, is back with another Party Pack. This will be the twelfth iteration, and was announced on June 25, 2026 as part of the annual upgrade. Jackbox Party Pack 12 will not be released until the fall, following tradition of previous releases, but the announcement trailer did give fans a small preview of what to expect from the five brand new games coming to this Party Pack.

Idol Factions

The first game-inside-of-a-game is Idol Factions. Described as an “action-packed battle of facts where two teams race to sort answers into the right categories,” players must sort random factoids. It is also noted that this is a team-based mini game, with gameplay appearing to be similar to Quixort from the ninth Party Pack. Idol Factions can be played by two to eight people at a time, with gameplay lasting about fifteen minutes.

We Forgot a Card

In this mini game, players must design well-fitting greeting cards for strange situations. One of these situations, as teased in the announcement trailer, is “Encouragement (From Billionaires).” Similar to Tee K.O from Jackbox Party Pack 3 where t-shirts designed in game can be purchased in real life, these greeting cards will also be available at the end of the twenty minute game. We Forgot a Card has space for three to eight players at a time.

Debate and Switch

Debate and Switch is a wordplay on the phrase “bait and switch,” and is exactly what it sounds like. The fairly short gameplay only takes up fifteen minutes from two to eight players who share the goal of persuading players to agree with their “outrageous takes” such as “the high school mascot should be really, really scary.” The Jackbox team assures that each debate topic will be lighthearted in this town hall style debate game.

Megapals

Described as a “mind-melding game that celebrates friends both old and new,” the objective of Megapals is to “see how connected you are with your pals through impulsive wordsmithing and explosive match-ups.” This mini game spans fifteen minutes and can be enjoyed by three to eight players.

Hyperface

The final new addition to Jackbox Party Pack 12 is Hyperface, a fifteen minute mini game where players distort images of faces to create overexagerated reaction pictures. These reactions must match “bizarre prompts like ‘your face when you’ve just seen a bear.’ and ‘your face when you’re visited by some weirdo from the future.'” The three to eight players are each given the option to play with stock images, or use selfies of their real faces.

The official announcement trailer is available to view below courtesy of the official PlayStation YouTube channel. Jackbox Party Pack 12 is not a free update, but a separate game that must be purchased on its own. So far, the game will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, in addition to Steam.
