Gamers specifically commented on improved in-game mechanics, designs, and concepts. Also, the reviews discussed the relaxing and peaceful nature of the game, which certainly shows that The Station executed on creating the casual atmosphere they aimed for. There are very few negative reviews for ISLANDERS: New Shores, with one complaining of the lack of new additions to the game, though this view is a clear exception. Another negative review just had a single complaint of a lack of a user high score listing.
