IQ Temporarily Banned from Rainbow Six Siege on Consoles Until PC Fix Rolls Out

Rainbow Six Siege is still dealing with a wide array of issues when it comes to exploits and glitches as of yet. Fortunately, Ubisoft have been doing their best to keep the playing field fair. There was temporary relief using the dismissal of claymore mines and deployable shields due to exploits using them, to the complete ban of the operator Clash for another game-breaking glitch. Now IQ seems to be sliding her way into this unstable state the game has gotten into.

Recently, a video was posted on Reddit of the glitch in action, but has since been taken down. The video showed not how the exploit was replicated, rather a player falling victim to it and what it looks like on the kill cam. The glitch seems to place IQ in the ground just enough so she is unable to be seen and slides around in a prone position on her back. She is basically invulnerable and invisible but still able to take down opposing players making this a huge problem for players.

This is not the first problem that Rainbow Six Siege has had to deal with lately. Back in May, claymore mines and deployable shields were unusable as they are used to perform these types of glitches. Another Glitch with barbed wire caused Clash, an operator who runs around with a fully extendable shield, the ability to still shoot her gun with the shield extended. This has caused an outcry from fans to Ubisoft, some saying they should focus on working on Operation Health 2.0 rather than focus on new content. The first Operation Health made wide variety of balance changes and bug fixes making the game much more balanced and enjoyable. Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen a pro player stated,

I use the expression that it’s like a tall building: every piece of DLC is like a new level on top of the building, Now we’re pretty far up, but the core foundation is rotten to its core at a level where it impacts the future of the game.

Thankfully, we can look forward to IQ being fixed on consoles tomorrow if Ubisoft’s plans roll out. The official site states, “We have been testing a solution to some of the exploits that should address the IQ glitch. With this update in place we have not been able to reproduce this exploit internally. As such, we are pushing a patch today on PC only. We are planning to deploy this same patch on consoles as soon as possible, the earliest deployment window available to us is Thursday, June 27th. Until then, IQ will be removed from the operator selection screen for consoles.”

It has been a bumpy road for Rainbow Six Siege fans the last couple months. Some fans think Ubisoft needs to deal with the problem quickly while others feel it is more of an issue with players and their integrity. Hopefully Ubisoft will have most of the issues ironed out tomorrow and it will be safe to return back to the rank queue soon for those who were reluctant.

Why watch a movie or read a book when you can take part in the plot playing a game was my philosophy.
