Insomniac Games Confirms New Game Plus Mode For Marvel’s Spider-Man

In a reply to a tweet, developer Insomniac Games confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man will get a new game plus mode. Not much is known on how it will work but new game plus modes are becoming a popular mode in games today. Other PlayStation exclusives like Horizon: Zero Dawn and God Of War have new game plus modes as well. For those not in the know, new game plus is a mode that allows players to go through the game again with all of the skills, experience, and items that were accrued during the first playthrough. There may also be additional challenges that are present at certain instances in the game that was not present when it was initially completed, such as certain enemy types.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is available now for $59.99. There is a digital deluxe edition available for $79.99 that comes with the full game, additional suits, and DLC called The City That Never Sleeps. The DLC will consist of three-story chapters that will include additional missions, challenges, suits, and new enemy factions all from the Spider-Man universe. The first of the three chapters called The Heist involves the Black Cat. It will be released on October 23.

The second chapter of The City That Never Sleeps called Turf Wars will be available in November. The third chapter, Silver Lining, will be available in December. The City That Never Sleeps can be purchased separately for $24.99 that’ll include all three chapters, or you can purchase each chapter individually for $9.99.
