Inscryption stood out by claiming 4 awards at the Independent Games Festival on March 23, which took place as a part of the 2022 Games Developer Conference. The IGF award show is part of the longest-running festival, summit, and showcase celebrating independent games and their creators. Inscryption by Daniel Mullins Games took home the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, Excellence in Audio, Excellence in Design and Excellence in Narrative.
IGF Chair Kelly Wallick will be hosting the IGF Awards for the first time since serving as a chairperson for several years. Wallick has worked in the tech and video game industry for over a decade with accomplishments such as being the founder of the Indie MEGABOOTH and a Partner at the 1Up Fund. Tonight she announced that she will be stepping down as IGF Chairperson, but is looking forward to seeing the next generation of game developers rise up.
