Infinity Nikki To Receive 1.2 Update ‘Firework Season’ On January 24

Publisher Infold Games and developer Papergame have just announced the 1.2 update to their adventure platform game Infinity Nikki. The update titled ‘Firework Season’ is set to launch on January 24. Gematsu reports that the update includes new plot lines, platforming challenges, events and outfits.

The update will highlight the New Bloom Festival, an event and tradition set within the Linglang Empire embellished with lanterns and firecrackers; This includes new content set within the world of Miraland. Another landmark players will be able to visit in the update is the Firework Isles, a collection of islands featuring the Songbreeze Highland, with panoramic views and Crescent Shoal, a hidden cave and Camp Kaboom.

Storyline expansions have been added in the form of “Glowing Fireworks” players will assume the role of Nikki joined by Momo to prepare for the carnival of fireworks. This story quest features a unique boss known as ‘The Dark Bouquet’

Firework season is said to include new minigames and activities in the New Bloom Festival. Participation in these events will unlock various rewards for players, including; up to 20 free pulls and over 3,500 diamonds. Sports Illustrated reports two exclusive outfits will be available, the 5 star ability outfit Stardust Flare featuring the whimsicality ability, which leaves a trail of fireworks behind nikki as she moves around and allows her to hold sparklers and dance in photo mode and another 5 star ability outfit ‘Dance Till Dawn’ which can be used to spread confetti and brings new decorative balloons to photo mode. Nine additional outfits from versions 1.2 to 1.4 will also be attainable through the Heartfelt Gifts Store.

Infinity Nikki has garnered over 20 million downloads since its launch. With the upcoming announcement of it’s soundtrack release, fans of Infinity Nikki have a lot to look forward  to at the start of this year.
