Immortals Fenyx Rising DLC Announced for April 22

Earlier today, Ubisoft announced the new DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising will be available in less than a week. The game was originally released in December 2020 and is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Ps5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Amazon Luna, and Windows. The game has received mostly positive reviews since its release, and so far, has two DLC currently available for the game making The Lost Gods the third DLC for the game.

Inspired by a software bug that turned humans into cyclopses while developing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the Ubisoft Quebec team wanted to create a game based on Greek mythology, and so, Immortals Fenyx was made following the story of a customizable character named Fenyx who must traverse open lands to save their crew and others who have been mysteriously turned to stone. Throughout the game, the Greek gods Zeus and Prometheus narrate the story as they discuss who can kill the antagonist of the story Typhon. The game was originally planned to be released in February of last year, but similarly to other games, it was delayed until the end of the year.

The first DLC continues the story of Fenyx who must win the legendary trials and defeat the gods of Olympus. However, the second DLC follows Chinese mythology with a new character named Ku as well as new monsters to defeat. On the Ubisoft website for the game, they discuss the new DLC premise saying,

In this adventure, experience a new top-down exploration and brawler-style combat! Meet a new hero, Ash, embarking on an epic journey to reunite the Greek gods.

The DLC will be available on April 22, 2021. If you want to try out the game before the new DLC, there is currently a demo available, and for those who already have the game, you can pick up the season pass to have access to all these additional game stories and characters.
