For fans of fps games and off-world conquests, IGN has released a trailer for the upcoming co-op online FPS Starship Trooper: Extermination. Developed by Offworld Industries, players will take the role of a soldier in the Deep Space Vanguard, an elite force in the special forces deep in space. The objective is to take back the fallen colonies that have been subject to attack by the alien arachnoids. Players will venture into a hostile desert planet where they will take on these foes.

As part of the infantry, players will have a series of weapons to use at their disposal. From the trailer, we see the first option as an assault specialist where there was an offensive attack initiated with a machine gun. The trailer then goes to show us the game has other roles for players to fulfill. There is the support in the back where a heavy fire infantry behind a shield took on an alien spider head-on. There is a medic role where players can go around bringing medical aid, resources and support for players if being support if they wish not to engage in field combat.
Once players deploy on the field, the fighting will pick up. The trailer states that once players arrive on the battlefield, “the infestation will feel relentless” and a large number of enemies will rush out to attack. It is key strategy for players to fend off attacks and build a strong hold to fortify defenses. The game has a build feature where you can build a fortress armed with turrets for defense against alien ambushes.
Starship Troopers: Extermination is currently in development and is scheduled to be released later this year on all modern platforms.
