IGN Expo 2024 Day 2: Funko Fusion, DC: Dark Legion, and More New Reveals

Day two of the IGN Expo showcase at IGN Live presented a plethora of new looks at unreleased games coming to fans soon. I’m here with firsthand, in-person coverage from the IGN Live show floor to let you know every game that was shown at the showcase on Saturday:

  • Lost Helden, Artisan Studios’ upcoming “homage to the golden era of JRPGs on the PS1”, showed off a developer-narrated gameplay preview, and is set to release in 2025.
  • DC: Dark Legion showed a cinematic trailer featuring numerous iconic DC characters, and a very brief look at the game’s base-building mechanic, which appeared reminiscent of the X-COM series.
  • Smite 2 shared a developer diary from the game’s design director AJ Walker, who discussed how the team is listening to player feedback and reworking the god Hecate while fine-tuning the new MOBA in its current alpha stage.
  • Echoes of Elysium showed off a new gameplay trailer, displaying the games hand-to-hand combat and airship-building mechanics.
  • Funko Fusion dropped a gameplay trailer, confirming the game to be a franchise-hopping third-person shooter with levels based on Child’s Play, Jurassic World, and more.
  • Slime Heroes, developed by Pancake Games, shared a story trailer with a brief look at its sword-fighting gameplay.
  • Dawn of Defiance from Traega Entertainment revealed a new gameplay trailer for the Roman Empire-themed action-crafitng game, as well as an early access release of August 15.
  • Big Boy Boxing brought in big Punch-Out! energy with its gameplay trailer.
  • Ascendant.com, the self-proclaimed “world’s frist adaption shooter”, showed off a new gameplay trailer with intense gunplay and massive vehicles.
  • MechWarrior 5: Clans brought a new trailer, giving fans a look at gameplay and story details, as well as a release fate of October3.
  • Delta Force: Hawk Ops game director Shadow Guo shared a new look at the upcoming first-person shooter’s maps and gameplay, as well as discussing how the game takes inspiration from its predecessor Delta Force.
