After 13 years since its original release date, the cult classic Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective remaster releases today, June 30th, 2023. According to the press release, Old and new Fans can now experience the revival of this classic puzzle-solving mystery adventure game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam for $29.99.
Players will take the role of the charming ghost Sissel, as he journeys to unravel the mystery behind his own murder. Explore the revamped spirit realm and wield the powers of the dead in this tale of life, death, and lost memories. Mastering newfound powers allows Sissel to travel just a few minutes back in time to possess and trick items, changing the fates of the living and uncovering Sissel’s story.
Alongside graphical and frame-rate improvements, the Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective improved its menu screen and system features, adding easy-to-use sounds and auto-advance settings. The remaster also implemented three new language options, making the game available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Fans can also enjoy newly arranged music tracks and rare concept art.
A playable demo up to Chapter 2 of the game is also available for all its listed platforms. Fans that play the demo can earn in-game backgrounds and music tracks early and can any saved data can be carried over to its official release.
