Another month has passed, and another Honkai: Star Rail update has arrived as Honkai: Star Rail 4.5 comes to a close with another taking its place. With the Trailblazer managing to convince the IPC to encase the planet of Planarcadia with the path of preservation, the Astral Express has bought the planet more time. But with Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise” on the rise, it’s time to gather all the supplicants and wish for Oroboros to be gone with the help of the Elation Aeon themselves, AHA. The game between gods and mortals has come in the form of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” launching September 28.
Honkai: Star Rail 4.6 is almost here, and with it comes the continuation of the ongoing story of Planarcadia, a new limited banner character, and a tease of the future collab between Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero. First thing to cover in the update is the story: we continue from where we left off, as the Trailblazer managed to convince the IPC to save Planarcadia rather than weaponize it, and now encased it with the power of preservation. And now that the planet has more time, the supplicants of the current Phantasmoon Games must gather and use all remaining wishpower to defeat Oroboros and stop it from devouring the planet and escaping into the cosmos. But before that, we now must learn the truth behind one of the newer characters introduced in the 4.0 updates, Kuchiba, as it looks like she is either working directly with Oroboros or is maybe an Emanator of the voracity; either way, her master plan is to be revealed, and now we must stop her before it’s too late. Now, the supplicants and the Aeon of Elation AHA themselves team up to defeat Oroboros and save the day once more in this game of gods and mortals.
This time around, 4.6 will only feature one brand-new limited banner character, but with her come plenty of reruns and the possibility of saving for AHA themselves, as they are coming in the next update, or even the collab characters teased. As mentioned, Pearl is the only new limited 5-star, and she’s an ice Elation unit, so those who have invested in Elation now have a new character. With her comes her 5-star lightcone, Colors for Tomorrow. This is going to be her best-in-slot, so if you want the best Pearl, best save for it as well. And rerunning alongside her is the return of Evanescia and her lightcone, so for those who missed her, she’s now back and is also getting a skin. And in the second half of the update, Mortenax Blade sees his return with his lightcone. If you skipped him the first time, it’s best to pick him up, as Bladie is quite good and helps many teams.
As alluded to before, we got a tease of the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail collab, with version 4.8 seeing both Ellen Joe and Astra Yao from Zenless Zone Zero join the world of Honkai: Star Rail. Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6, “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise,” appears to be the finale or penultimate chapter of this story of Elation, as we must now team up with the joyseeker herself, AHA, who was revealed to be Nihilux. And take down Oroboros and save Planarcadia as Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 “Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise” launches September 28.
