The season finale for Hitman, via Hitman‘s website, is set to be released October 31st. This final chapter in the series of Hitman episodes will take place in Hokkaido, Japan. The Hokkaido episode takes place at the GAMA private hospital and resort. This setting will include elements of traditional Japanese culture combined with the sleekness of modern technology. The setting will feature an organic sushi restaurant, a Zen garden, and a Japanese hot spring. A trailer for the upcoming Hokkaido season finale of Hitman can be viewed below.
Episode 6: Hokkaido will take Agent 47 to a mission called “Situs Inversus.” This episode is meant to tie together all the gameplay aspects that players who have been playing the episodes since the beginning have learned. It is meant to be a culmination of all the gameplay and story aspects that the players have experienced thus far. The location itself will also be used for Escalation contracts, Elusive Targets, and user created Featured Contracts. There will also be a vast collection of gear and weapons that can be unlocked and used throughout the past Hitman locations. As the season of Hitman’s episodic content comes to end it seems that the Studio Head, Hannes Seifert considers this method of delivery a massive success. As Seifert puts it:
“It was a brave decision to go fully digital episodic with Hitman, fundamentally changing how we make the game, and for us it has been a major success. I want to say a big thank you to all the players for making this possible! Together we’ve built and run the biggest and most replayable locations of any Hitman game and added new live content every single week since launch. And although we’re now completing season one, this is only the beginning for our ever expanding World of Assassination.”
Hitman also announced their latest Elusive target, Xander “The Fixer” Haverfoek in Marrakesh. Like the other elusive targets “The Fixer” will be around for a limited time and players only get one chance to successfully complete the assassination and collect the conflict diamonds he is carrying. Haverfoek will be available only until October 21st. A trailer for this new Elusive Target can be seen below.
