Square Enix has announced that Hitman Episode 4: Bangkok is going to be released August 16th and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In this episode Agent 47 is taken to Bangkok, Thailand. The setting will feature exotic gardens, the natural beauty of Thailand, and the ornate decorations in the Himmapan luxury hotel. The decision to use a hotel setting was a conscious one by the developers, as according to them, the hotel is typically a “fan favorite type of destination.” Hotels have always been a big part of the Hitman series, each allowing for their own unique assassination locations and the Himmpan is going to be no exception. The developers have taken the time to add the “intricacies” to the hotel that they believe fans of the series enjoy.
The “Club 27” mission in Hitman Episode 4 takes Agent 47 to the Himmapan hotel, to take out up and coming indie rock star Jordan Cross and his lawyer Ken Morgan. Cross is the front man for the fictional flavor of the month indie rock band, The Class. Both of the targets are staying at the hotel while the band works on releasing their anticipated second album. This mission will include plenty of interactivity with the environment. Unlockable gear, items and weapons are another big part of the setting for this episode. On top of that this episode is making sure to keep up to snuff for the Hitman series when it comes to being able to carry out your mission in a myriad of ways. There will also be over 65 challenges, leaving the player more than enough things to keep themselves occupied. The development team seems excited about this release saying they “can’t wait to see how much fun our awesome community has in Thailand.”
As something extra, Hitman released a song and music video for the Jordan Cross character performed by the fictional band that is the focal point of the “Club 27” mission. The music video can be seen below.
