Blizzard is soon to begin kicking off an alpha test for Heroes of the Storm for a limited amount of testers.
This test well focus on the support systems of Heroes of the Storm first, and this phase is being called a “technical alpha”. During this phase those selected will be allowed to see the early unfinished stages.
As Heroes of the Storm is in the early stages, the work will also involve testing out the ability of supporting an entire Heroes population as it grows. The testing will analyze the connection, speed, and machine types during this period. Alpha testers may encounter bugs and temporary problems with sound, interface, and graphics during the game that haven’t been seen yet. As the alpha keeps developing, it will increase in size as time goes by.
Blizzard has mentioned that there is no non-disclosure agreement attached to the Technical Alpha once it has begun invitations, and therefore players can speak to others, post, or live stream sessions without having any consequences.
