Developer Natsume have announced that the bundle including two rereleases of their original 3DS titles Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley/Harvest Moon: The Skytree Village have been delayed from their original slated release in June to July 3. Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley originally released in November 2014 and its sequel Harvest Moon: The Skytree Village followed in November 2016.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is set in a valley where the seasons have disappeared and you’ll work as a newcomer to restore them. In Harvest Moon: The Skytree Village your goal is to revitalize the withering Sky Trees and bring back life to the village.
In a press release shared on Gematsu, Natsume president and CEO Hiro Maekawa says “We look forward to bringing Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley and Harvest Moon: Skytree Village to Nintendo Switch on July 3 as we release our first Cozy Bundle,” he goes on to say “The team has been working hard on optimizing these 3DS titles for Switch, ensuring high quality and updated features. We hope this will be the first of many bundles featuring classic Natsume games that fans have been wanting to play on modern consoles.”
In Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley you’ll grow crops and raise animals. The title features 3D terrain customization, allowing you to dig and build on the land. You’ll be able to build relationships with other villagers, get married and start a family. Original downloaded content is featured, including outfits, buildings, crops and characters. Harvest Moon: The Skytree Village features new crops, flowers and fishing mechanics and additional content in cosmetics and two additional characters.
Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley/Harvest Moon: The Skytree Village offers an opportunity for newcomers to try their hands at the original titles on modern platforms and includes the additional content for fans. With Natsume sweetening the deal with its double pack the title may land nicely for existing Nintendo Switch owners.
