Halo Reach MCC PC Requirements Revealed, Potentially Launching This Year

343 Industries has been hard at work trying to finish up the PC iteration of Halo Reach as a part of the Halo Master Chief CollectionThe developer took on this seemingly gargantuan task earlier this year when they announced that not only will the much loved entry in the series be ported to PC, but so will the entire collection of Halo titles. We haven’t heard too much recently, but in the newest Development Update, they revealed the PC requirements for the game, which could indicate that we’ll see a release date announcement sooner than later.

To further this point, the company announced the game would be going through the final PC Flight a couple of days ago. Those invites were sent out yesterday, with more on the way through November 5. The PC Flights are essentially beta’s of certain missions from the Halo Reach campaign that players can test out on their PC setups.

It seems like 343 has more than enough to establish a requirement list for anyone wishing to play it with mouse and keyboard. Well it looks like they went above and beyond that, as the requirements are spread out on a carefully constructed graph, and quite frankly, we wish that more companies would be this helpful when it comes to running games on PC’s.

It might look intimidating, but it’s actually a very simplified chart that shows you what to expect depending on your build. From the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like Reach on PC will be a huge strain for modern gaming rigs. One of the biggest aspects that a lot of gamers will be looking for is the frames per second, as those are usually paramount on an FPS on PC. Unless you’re running this on an older system, you’ll more than likely hit those desired frames.

Halo Reach MCC will launch for the Xbox One and PC, through Steam and the Windows Store.
