After not making an appearance yesterday at the Gamescom 2021 Xbox stream, 343 Industries made an appearance during Opening Night Live and shared some new information regarding Halo Infinite. The game launches on December 8, 2021. And, since this year is the 20th anniversary of the franchise, 343 also revealed two limited edition pieces of hardware commemorating the anniversary, an Xbox Series X – Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle and the Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller. These will be released on November 15, 2021, in celebration of Halo’s 20th anniversary.
The Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Series X was inspired by the expansive Halo universe and is wrapped with dark metallic paneling accented by iridium gold. Above the armor is a custom star pattern as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo that extends to the top of the console and onto the fan. Below the stars, the top vent is accented in Cortana-themed blue. The console powers on and off with custom Halo-themed sounds. The controller included in the bundle has a matching design on the front, an iridium gold 20-year mark on the back and side-and-back grips.
The Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller is a custom design inspired by the Master Chief’s iconic armor with a battle-worn, metallic green with an iridium gold D-pad and comes with swappable components and a custom carrying case with the UNSC insigna. The controller launches on November 15, 2021 for $199.99. These are not the only two hardware that players can pick up. Players can also get the Halo Infinite Edition Razer Kaira Pro for Xbox. With Razer’s Triforce Titanium 50mm Drivers, you’ll be able to pick up on every audio detail. There is also an officially licensed Halo Infinite Special Editon Seagate Game Drive for Xbox that has up to 5 TB of storage that will be available in October for $99.99 (2TB) and $159.99 (5TB).
A new trailer was also released for Halo Infinite Multiplayer. The trailer sets the stage for Spartan Commander Agryna who is in charge of the new Spartans which players will take the role of in multiplayer. In Multiplayer, the seasons and all the content coming to the mode is all about the player’s journey to becoming a Spartan. Every season and update will lead into the player’s journey as a recruit to part of a fireteam. The trailer reveals her backstory as she was saved by a fireteam of Spartans before eventually becoming one.
