Cooperative character swapping hack-and-slash title Go Fight Fantastic! has been released from Publisher Kinda Brave and developer Dinomite Games on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch both companies have announced. Gematsu shares that both an Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions are in the works and Go Fight Fantastic! Initially launched on PC via Steam on March 26, 2024.
Go Fight Fantastic! stars a group of interstellar smugglers led by space-dog captain Bowie. What begins as a mission to bird planet turns into an interplanetary invasion, leaving the group as the planet’s only hope.
Indie Hive caught up with Go Fight Fantastic! developer Johan Albrektson and asked why the team decided to make the game, Johan responded “Well, we’ve always dreamt of making games, so when we finally had the chance to start working on a large scale production about 4 years ago, we dropped everything in a heartbeat and just started prototyping. We knew we wanted to make a co-op game as it’s something we’re always on the lookout for ourselves. So we started looking at the things we were personally most excited about, such as 3rd person characters, hand-drawn aesthetics and cozy RPG-elements – and combined those with more modern mechanics that inspired us, such as the asymmetrical combat abilities from Moba, etc. So it’s really been a passion project from the start, with the hopes that others would also find it fun and interesting!”
Go Fight Fantastic! features local and online co-op play. Horde mode is featured within and includes an endless alien assault and online leaderboards. The game also features four unique playable characters.
For those on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, the promise from developer Dinomite Games is that the wait won’t be long. The hope is that development will take their time to provide a polished version on par with the newly released console ports.
