A couple of days ago, developer Sydney Collings, known as Symphony_Sonata, released an official trailer for the game HABROMANIA. The first chapter of the indie RPG game is set to release in September of this year on PC through Steam. According to the Steam page, HABROMANIA is coming soon to Early Access, but there is no official date of when it will be out as of yet.

In the trailer it shows the graphics and the gameplay footage players can expect to see when chapter one releases– there will be twelve chapters in total. The game is a new take on Alice in Wonderland with a horror and thriller twist from the looks of the trailer.

Players will be able to explore Wonderland, interact with things in the world, solve different puzzles to help progress the story, meet new friends along the way, and have tea parties.

Making choices will also be vital in the game through branching dialogue, it will determine Alice’s fate throughout the ongoing story. Players will also be able to collect different objects that will be used for solving puzzles, bartering, and discovering hidden lore of HABROMANIA. 

According to the Steam page, Alice’s goal is to “escape the surreal, cozy hellscape that is Wonderland.” She landed in Wonderland with no memories of how she got there or her past memories in general. Along her journey, she will meet different characters and encounter different obstacles as she tries to make her escape out of Wonerland.

Each of the characters she will encounter have their own set of traits and their own problems. The Hatter is a charming tea enthusiast, but he is still hung up over his ex-girlfriend, and The Queen of Hearts happens to be the ex-girlfriend who wants to get out of Wonderland as well– all according to the description on the Steam page.
