H1Z1 Invitational to Take Place at This Year’s TwitchCon

Daybreak Games has announced new details on this year’s H1Z1 Invitational, which will take place at this year’s TwitchCon this October.  This year’s iteration will be the 3rd instance of the annual event, and will a combined prize pool of $500,000 USD across three distinct tournaments.

The 2017 H1Z1 Invitational will be composed of three tournaments: All-Stars, Legends, and Challengers.  The All-Stars tournament will feature many of the game’s most influential streamers and content creators, including I AM WILDCAT, CDNThe3rd, and Miniladd.  The Legends tournament will be the competitive, esports-focused tournament, and will pit the game’s professional players against each other; invited players include previous H1Z1 Invitational champions Reed “inboxes” Tucker and Radek “Radek” Pozler, as well as Casey “Flamehopper” Pitel and Chris “sweetdreams” Sexton, coming off their recent successes at Elite Series and DreamHack Atlanta earlier this year.

The final tournament, Challengers, will feature players from the community, selected through on-site qualifiers at TwitchCon.  Attendees will be able to participate in these qualifiers throughout the weekend-long event, with the 60 best-performing players getting to compete in the finals for part of that $500k prize pool.

Daybreak will be celebrating the “Road to TwitchCon” in the months leading up to the event, with special events at other upcoming conventions including PAX West and Gamescom.  For full schedule details, visit h1z1.com/invitational.
