Guilty Gear – Strive Has Sold Over 1 Million Units Worldwide, Season 2, New Character Bridget Available Now

Over the weekend at EVO 2022, Arc System Works revealed the first look at Bridget, the first character coming to Guilty Gear – Strive Season 2. The character is available now and can be picked up standalone ($6.99) or by purchasing the Season 2 Season Pass ($24.99). The new season marks the game’s first anniversary so Arc System Works announced a milestone for the game and a special music video was released.

Arc System Works has confirmed that Guilty Gear – Strive has surpassed 1 million units shipped worldwide. This is the first title sold by the developer and the first in the Guilty Gear series to reach the milestone. To commemorate the news, a special illustration was drawn by Kenta Asano, a 2D artist from the Guilty Gear team has been released.

In addition, an original music video for Sol Badguy’s theme “Find Your One Way” was released in commemoration of Strive’s one-year anniversary. It features all-new animation by Sanzigen Inc and shows the world of Guilty Gear over its more than 20 years as a series with the life of protagonist Sol Badguy condensed into about 2 minutes.

Season 2 will feature a rollout of 4 additional playable characters beginning with Bridget, 2 new battle stages, and the second color pack. Bridget is an easy-to-pick up, standard style of character that boasts both long-range attacks and excellent movement, including tricky options with the yo-yo.

Arc Systems has also revealed that the digital version of Guilty Gear – Strive Standard Edition is now available at a lower price of $39.99. There is also new digital bundle editions such as the Guilty Gear – Strive Season Pass 1 bundle ($59.99), and the Guilty Gear – Strive Ultimate Edition 2022 ($79.99). The Ultimate Edition has the base game, the Season 1 Pass, Season 2 Pass, and the Ultimate Edition Contents Kit which digital sound + art works and exclusive color.
