GRID Autosport New Trailer Showcases Endurance Racing

Test out your driving skills with the lights turned down on Developer Codemasters new trailer for Grid Autosport.  The trailer features endurance racing with drivers Matt Bell, Rory Butcher and Ahmad Al Harthy, Joe Osborne, and Aleksander Schjerpen. Build up your racing skills on Grid Autosport, which is releasing on June 24 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC via Steam.

Concentration, discipline, and patience, do you have all those to take on endurance racing at night? Racer (and players in GRID Autosport) will have to maintain their tires and cars performance, in order to make sure that they keep going, and use the pits when they know they should.

A press release mentions that “players must manage tire wear and race to a strategy in extended races which provide a true test of racing skill, patience and car management. As players race, they must manage their tires which will lose grip as they break traction or go off track, affecting performance and handling as the race progresses. Players who look after their tires will be faster towards the end of the race.”

GRID Autosport, once finished will include features like 100 tracks set in 22 locations, plus also having a mix of both modern and classic cars. Some of the cars that are in the game will include Honda Civic Touring Car, Ford Focus ST Touring Car, the Holden VF Commodore and the Ford Falcon FG, among others. While the classic cars will include Nissan 1991 (R32) Skyline GT-R Group A and the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Group A.

“It’s definitely not a full simulation – we want it to be authentic, not clinical – but it’s more towards that end of the spectrum than before,” writes Codemasters community manager Ben Walke.
