The Microsoft page for Grand Theft Auto V also reflects that the game is now available on Xbox Game Pass. As of now, the game is only available for Xbox One and not PC.
Grand Theft Auto Online is also available to play if you get the game through Xbox Game Pass. An Xbox Live Gold membership is required in order to participate in Grand Theft Auto Online. The latest update, The Diamond Casino Heist, is available now and has players attempting to “pull off the most sophisticated and daring robbery the city of Los Santos has ever seen.”
While Grand Theft Auto V is the latest game available on the service, it is not the only game that has come to the service as of late. During X019, Microsoft announced 50 more games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. During the holidays, Darksiders III, Life is Strange 2: Episodes 4 & 5, The Red Strings Club, Vambrace: Cold Soul, The Escapists 2, Halo: Reach, My Friend Pedro, and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt were added.
Notable additions coming later in the year include several Japanese franchises that will be available on Xbox for the first time. Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be coming and the majority of the Final Fantasy games will be making their way to Xbox Game Pass. The MMO Final Fantasy games will not be coming to the service. Also coming to Xbox Game Pass is all of the Kingdom Hearts titles so gamers can play through the entire series if they had fun with Kingdom Hearts III.
