Back on December 20th, Google Stadia released a new feature. Players using the Google Stadia are now able to earn achievements in Stadia titles. According to Gamespot, the achievements will be rewarded retroactively to players who completed the tasks required for earning the achievements, so players won’t need to restart their games to earn them.
Unfortunately, this only applies to players using Chromecast or a Chrome browser. Players using the mobile app will be unable to earn achievements for the moment. However, according to the latest Stadia Community Roundup, mobile app users will be able to earn achievements in 2020. The Stadia achievement system is similar to Steam’s achievement system in that there are no points or values for each achievement. It is also worth noting that not every Stadia game will have achievements.
Stadia also released a Twitter post back on the 20th stating that players with access to achievements will also receive notifications when playing on desktop, laptop, and TV. Players will also be able to see all of the achievements they earned on the web including any that they earned since playing Stadia.
🔔 Our achievement system is here and you will now receive notifications when playing on desktop, laptop, and TV. You can view your full achievement list on web, including all the ones you’ve earned since you began playing Stadia. pic.twitter.com/VX7cGg9K9k

Players can view their three most recent achievements through their profile, or if players seek a more detailed record of their achievements they can examine each individual game to see which achievements they have earned and how much progress they have made toward a specific achievement. Google Stadia users can also see other player’s achievements if they have been made visible. There is no new information available regarding Google Stadia achievements but more information will likely be released at a later date.
