‘Gods Will Be Watching’ Making Its Way To Steam, Humble, And GOG On July 24

Indie developer Deconstructeam and publisher Devolver Digital have announced the indie point-and-click adventure game, Gods Will Be Watching, which will be making its way to PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam, Humble, and GOG on July 24. Pre-orders will give players 10% discount until release date. The original minigame of Gods Will Be Watching, “was created as an entry for the Ludum Dare 26 game jam, developed in less than 72 hours with “Minimalism” as theme, with just a single stage and point’n’click mechanics, a bleak surviving simulator was born.”

Gods Will Be Watching, allows players to take control of Sgt. Burden, as you follow him and his crew in six chapters that go from hostage situations to wilderness survival. You the player choose how the situation of every event turns out, on what happens to your team, but also what happens to the people you were given to protect in a quick and challenging decision making situation. Throughout the game you will also go through various torture scenarios.

Some situations players might face along the way may come to wondering if you should intimidate or comfort the hostages to maintain your control of the situation? Should you kill one of your weakest links in the group in order to save on food for the strong? Is taking out one life, worth it in the end?

“Each decision is crucial and players will need to choose between the lives of their team and the saving the world from genocide.”

The game was aimed to be a “new breed of point and click adventure and capture the feeling of having to make heavy decisions with sometimes dark consequences,” said Deconstructeam founder Jordi de Paco.

You will be able to get the standard edition of the game, but you can also get the collector’s edition, which includes the original soundtrack, digital art book, and a digital comic known as the prologue to the events of the main game.
