Goat Simulator DLC “Waste of Space” Comes to PlayStation 4

Anyone who isn’t familiar with the game Goat Simulator really should be. It’s a game in which you play as a goat in an open world with intentionally broken physics. Hilarity ensues.

Since its release in 2014, Goat Simulator has gotten several pieces of DLC, all of which parody different genres of video games. Goat Simulator‘s DLCs include “Goat MMO Simulator,” an MMO parody, “GoatZ,” a zombie apocalypse game parody, and “PAYDAY,” which parodies the first-person shooter Payday: The Heist and its sequel, Payday 2.

The latest Goat Simulator DLC, entitled “Waste of Space,” becomes available for the PlayStation 4 today. “Waste of Space” parodies various sci-fi video games, movies and television shows, such as Mass EffectStar Wars and Star Trek. The story of this DLC revolves around a space colony that is losing money. In the DLC’s trailer, it is explained by an Arnold Schwarzenegger-sounding character that it is the player’s goal to convince people to crowdfund the space colony through the Kickstarter parody company Crowdkicker.

According to GameSpot, “Waste of Space” has the largest map in the history of Goat Simulator, including the main game as well as its various DLCs. This DLC also contains several new activities, such as space-bike racing, driving a spaceship and a romancing mechanic akin to Mass Effect. You can also blow up the Earth, because why not?

As of today, the “Waste of Space” DLC is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360, but not Xbox One, and has been available on PC since last year. The DLC costs $4.99. The Announcement trailer is below.
