Ghostrunner 2 made $6 Million in Less Than Five Days After Launching

It’s been a little more than a month now since Ghostrunner 2 launched, garnering critical acclaim in the process. One More Level’s fast-paced simulator is now considered one of the year’s best offerings, so much so that it has achieved something remarkable for the studio. According to Bankier.pl, which has been translated by Game World ObserverGhostrunner 2 made roughly $6 million in less than five days after launching last month. Not only that, but the studio also states that due to this huge influx of revenue, they were able to recoup the entire project’s budget ($4 million) in that same time frame.

To put in perspective how insane this milestone is, we only need to look at the previous entry, Ghostrunner, which launched in 2020. By the end of that year, the title had sold around 500,000 units, and by the middle of 2021, that statistic had grown to 600,000. While One More Level has not disclosed the sales numbers for Ghostrunner 2, it’s safe to say that the $6 million made within a five-day time span is more than likely close to or even more than these units shipped by the predecessor. In short, the sequel has essentially trounced the first entry by a mile in these terms.

On the title’s Steam page, it currently holds a 91% rating based off of more than 2,000 reviews, making it in the “Very Positive” section of how it is being viewed overall. The title has also been nominated for an award at The Game Awards 2023 for Best Action Game. It has its work cut out however, as it is up against some other huge hitters in that category, such as Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon, Dead Island, Hi-Fi Rush, and Remnant 2.
