Ghost Recon Wold Premiere Coming Later This Week

Ubisoft has officially announced that there will be a Ghost Recon World Premiere event later this week. Last week, the company teased fans on the “official website for Skell Technology for an event called “Skellcon” a fictional convention directly referenced to the in game tech company  responsible for many of the weapons and gear used by Ghost Recon, Fourth Echelon, and Rainbow.

The announcement came by way of the game’s official twitter account and simply states “Calling all Ghosts. Tune into the #GhostRecon World Premiere event May 9 at 11:30 am PT.” Even though this tweet does confirm some sort of reveal trailer, it’s still somewhat cryptic as to what will be shown. Many are using Ubisoft’s Skell tweet to speculate something a reveal for a Ghost Recon: Wildlands sequel. While this is possible, this isn’t confirmed and whatever they do decide to show is anybody’s guess.

The good news is we only have a couple of days until we find out what Ubisoft has to show off. In other news recently, there have been rumors going around that Ubisoft has secretly been working on a Splinter Cell title. The last title for the franchise was Splinter Cell: Blacklist which released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back in 2013, and many fans have been wanting the series to make a come back. However, these rumors have gone without any valid proof and remain purely speculation as well at this point. On the bright side Ubisoft has confirmed that they will indeed have a press conference this year, and with an Assassin’s Creed game already off the table it will be interesting to see what titles the developer had to show us.
